Wanneer Wilmar Dik (1973) door de lens van zijn camera kijkt, ziet hij meer dan enkele milliseconden aan potentiële beelden. Hij ziet het licht en de beweging van de natuur, mensen en steden. Met zijn creatieve gebruik van sluitertijd, streeft Wilmar naar het vastleggen van de schoonheid van beweging en licht op een manier die aan de ene kant natuurgetrouw is en andere kant een surrealistisch effect bewerkstelligt. Zijn stijl kenmerkt zich verder door een onconventioneel lijnenspel, dat altijd recht is, maar niet altijd op de wijze die men verwacht. De fotografie op deze site is een mix van vrij werk en opdrachtfotografie.
When Wilmar Dik (1973) looks at the world through the lens of his camera, he sees more than milliseconds of potential still frames. He sees the lighting and movement of nature, people, and cities. With the creative use of shutter speed, Wilmar strives to capture the beauty of this motion and light in his photos in a way that is on the one hand true to nature and on the other creates a surrealistic effect. His style is further characterized by his unconventional choices for angles and lines that always result in a straight composition but not always in the way that the viewer expects. The photography on this site is a mix of free work and assignments.
